The Green Healthcare Programme has produced a Case Study outlining the good practice measures in relation to the prevention of food waste implemented by Mayo general hospital. The Case Study outlines the positive measures implemented in the ordering and provision of food. All these measures have significantly reduced the quantity of food waste generated, with the hospital producing significantly less food than the average acute facility.
