The programme is wholly funded by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), under the National Waste Prevention Programme (NWPP).
The NWPP was launched by the Minister of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government in April 2004 and is being led by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has responsibilities for a wide range of licensing, enforcement, monitoring and assessment activities associated with environmental protection. In particular, the EPA’s resource use section leads the National Waste Prevention Programme.
